Artist Dustin Cantrell and Kidrobot Dunny classic toys ha come up with a new favorite: the Tesla-inspired Plasma Globe. But even crazier, he's ToyCyte letting one of these amazing creations away for free.
In a post on ToyCyte, Cantrell said he to the plasma Dunny was always a little sad to see Tesla's legacy to the schlocky products in places like Spencer's gifts, and wanted something cool with the plasma globe.
Plasma Globe was originally created by Nikola Tesla in 1894 and worked with a Tesla coil to excite the element in a hot lap. Then in the 1970s, MIT researcher Bill Parker met with the currently used modern design, with a glass dome with inert gases, and high-frequency current through the dome, the visual effects.
Information on competition in the plasma GiveAway Dunny can be found here, and if you do not happen to win-Don't-worry, there are three more for sale in the future (price unknown). [ToyCyte]
